7 Chakras: Chakras are known as the centres of energy within the human body. These chakras help you to regulate the flow of life force, or prana, within the human system. These centres of energy start from the bottom of the spine and travel up to the crown of the head. Learning about the seven major chakras and maintaining them in balance is known to boost good health and emotional balance. To learn more, here is a list of seven chakras in the human body, according to the Art of Living.
List Of 7 Chakras In The Human Body, Their Significance And Meaning:
1. Root Chakra (Muladhara):
The Root Chakra is at the bottom of your spine. This chakra is known to be associated with feelings of security, safety, and grounding. The colour of this chakra is red, and this is the bottom-most point from where the rest of the chakras in the system start flowing. When the root chakra is in balance, you are stable and secure on a physical and emotional level. Weakened or imbalanced root chakra results in fear, anxiety, or feelings of unbelongingness.
2. Sacral Chakra (Swadhisthana):
The sacral chakra is situated just below the navel in the lower abdomen. It is associated with creativity, pleasure, and emotions. Its colour is orange, and a balanced sacral chakra helps you enjoy life and express yourself freely. When this chakra is blocked, it can lead to emotional instability or difficulty enjoying simple pleasures in life.
3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura):
The Solar Plexus Chakra is located in the upper abdomen, near the stomach area. It is about confidence, self-esteem, and personal power. Yellow is the colour for this chakra. If you have a balanced solar plexus chakra, you thrive on confidence and are not confused at all. An imbalance could introduce self-doubt, powerlessness and low confidence.

With an open heart chakra, you feel empathy and understanding for others and yourself. If it is closed, you could feel isolated, alone, or find it difficult to trust others.
5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha):
As the name suggests, this chakra is situated in the throat, and is associated with a blue colour. The throat chakra is about communicating clearly, being sincere, and expressing yourself openly.. If the throat chakra is blocked, you may feel misunderstood or struggle to stand up for yourself.
6. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna):
The Third Eye Chakra is situated between the eyebrows. The third eye chakra is associated with intuition, wisdom, and insight. The colour indigo represents this chakra. This chakra guides you to trust your gut feeling and inner voice. If blocked, you can find it difficult with confusion, being indecisive, or lacking concentration.

If all these chakras are open, it is considered the secret to living life with direction, happiness, and balance.
