List of Top 5 Most Popular Entrance Exams in India: In the Indian educational system, the major goal of entrance exams is to get accepted into different colleges. Different admission tests are necessary in other areas. The student's academic curriculum dictates this. The goal of admission tests is to determine a student's academic ability. The admissions test has both narrative and objective patterns.
1. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)
The UPSC administers the exam, which is separated into tiers. The fact that the highest scorers often obtain less than 40% of the total points demonstrates how difficult the exam is. To pass this exam, candidates must be well-versed in practically every subject. More than five lakh individuals apply for this exam each year, but only roughly 1600 make it to the final step. Every year, approximately a lakh people in India seek assistance from UPSC coaching centres to prepare for this exam.
2. Common Admission Test (CAT)
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) conducts an all-India test called the Common Admission Test (CAT) to choose the brightest managerial minds from throughout the country for its seven business schools. However, the exam results are used as a benchmark for many other business schools around the country. It is currently a computer-based exam with multiple-choice questions that assesses a candidate's mathematical, English, and data interpretation skills.
This test is intended to assess students' understanding of the fundamentals of the subjects being evaluated. The IIMs have announced that there will be 60-70 questions on the CAT. The test will last two hours and fifteen minutes. A 15-minute lesson will be provided to test takers to familiarize them with the computer exam environment.
