Ramadan 2024 Timetable For Iftar And Sehri: The pious occasion of Ramadan is being observed across the country with great devotion and enthusiasm. The Islamic calendar's holy month, Ramadan, is celebrated for thirty days and is seen as incredibly fortunate. Muslims observe this holy day by observing stringent fasts, reading the holy Quran, doing prayers, sighting the moon, giving alms, and many other activities.

These days of Ramadan are considered utmost pious and significant for the Muslim community. This year, the first Roza was observed on March 12 after the sight seeing moon in Mecca and Ramadan will culminate on April 9, 2024. The common belief is that the Quran was revealed during the holy month of Ramadan, providing guidance for humanity and signs of good and evil. Ramadan commemorates the drafting of the Quran, the holy book and emblem of Islam. Muslims everywhere believe that God gave Prophet Muhammad direct revelations, which were then captured and assembled into the ultimate form of the Quran, the holy book.

During Ramadan month, Muslims observe strict dusk to dawn fast, in which they do not consume any food or drink water. The fasts in Ramadan are referred to as ‘Roza’ and are considered extremely significant. It is believed that everyone needs to observe rozas or they have to face the wrath of God or Allah. During Ramadan, Muslims consume Sehri, a meal eaten before sunrise by Muslims during Ramadan and Iftar which is a meal consumed by Muslims at sunset to break their fast during Ramadan. Based on the lunar calendar, the month of Ramadan starts with the Arabic term for crescent, or new moon, hilal. The ninth month of the lunar year is when this happens. However, Ramadan falls earlier and earlier every year, delaying it by 11 days, as the lunar cycle reverses.
