State-Wise Upcoming Elections In India: The world's largest democracy, India, is all set to witness some of the most significant state assembly elections that are going to shape India’s political landscape ahead of the 2029 general elections and not just that, these state assembly elections will also highly influence the regional governance. In 2025 and early 2026, several key states are scheduled to go to the polls. Currently, Bihar is seeing a significant state assembly election. This time, the polls were held in two phases; Phase 1 happened on November 6, and now Phase 2 is scheduled for November 11 with the objective of electing the 243 members of the state assembly.
Next, West Bengal and Kerala, with their strong political legacies and shifting voter dynamics, will be in the spotlight. After that, the elections in Tamil Nadu are lined up for early 2026.
