Top 10 Crude Oil Producing Countries: The top oil producers in the world in 2025 are Saudi Arabia, the United States, Russia, Canada, China, Iraq, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil and Kuwait. These nations supply the growing demand for oil around the world. The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, however, has increased pressure in the Middle East. Concerns of supply disruptions through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil route in the Middle East, were raised by recent Israeli airstrikes on Iranian nuclear and military facilities. Oil prices soared as a result; Brent crude reached over $75–78 per barrel, and risky scenarios caused prices to reach $100–130.
This increase raises concerns for India, which imports between 85 and 88 per cent of its oil. Relying less on Gulf suppliers, India has expanded its imports from the US and Russia to protect itself from the instability of the Middle East. India can secure its energy needs and control domestic inflation thanks to this diversification approach.

1. United States
With roughly 13.2 million barrels of crude and liquids produced daily, the United States leads the world in oil production. The Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico provides the majority of production, making the United States a leading exporter, particularly of natural gas liquids and shale oil. Thanks to sophisticated fracking and pipeline systems, it routinely exports more than 7 million barrels per day.
2. Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is the second largest oil producing country that produces about 11.1 million barrels per day, mostly from massive fields like Ghawar and Safaniyah. With more than 8.9 million barrels of crude shipped daily worldwide, it is OPEC's biggest exporter. The nation keeps spending money on refining, storage and expanding its production capacity.

3. Russia
About 10.75 million barrels per day are produced in Russia, the third largest crude oil producing country, mostly from the Volga-Ural region and Western Siberia. Through pipelines like Druzhba and the ESPO tanker route, it continues to be a significant exporter, particularly to Europe and Asia.
4. Canada
Canada is the fourth-largest oil producer in the world, producing approximately 5.8 million barrels per day, primarily from the oil sands in Alberta. Approximately 3.8 million barrels per day are exported to the U.S. market via pipelines, including Keystone and Enbridge.
5. China
From fields like Daqing and Shengli, China produces between 4.1 and 5.3 million barrels per day. The majority is consumed at home, but it still exports some goods and makes refinery investments despite being heavily dependent on imported crude.
6. Iraq
With a focus on areas like Majnoon, West Qurna, and Rumaila, Iraq produces roughly 4.4 million barrels per day. It exports a large amount of this crude to international markets through pipelines and the Persian Gulf as a major OPEC member.
7. Brazil
Brazil's deep-water pre-salt fields in the Campos and Santos basins produce between 3.6 and 4.3 million barrels per day. With Petrobras expanding its global market reach, it is the leading producer in Latin America and is increasingly exporting crude.
8. United Arab Emirates (UAE)
About 4.2–4.8 million barrels per day are produced in the UAE, mostly from the fields in Zakum, Bab, and Murban. With an emphasis on light, sweet crude that is preferred worldwide, ADNOC aims to reach 5 million barrels per day by 2027.

9. Iran
Iran is the 9th largest crude oil producing country that produces about 4.0 million barrels per day, with supplies coming from regions like Ahvaz and Gachsaran. Notwithstanding sanctions and regional tensions, export levels are approximately 1.7 million barrels per day, mostly to China via shadow fleets.
10. Kuwait
Kuwait primarily uses the vast Burgan field to produce about 2.9 million barrels per day. About 90% of its exports are oil, and it wants to increase output.
