10 Largest Textile Exporting Countries: The textile industry is one of the largest and most significant industries in the world. Many countries make billions of dollars each year by exporting clothing, fabrics, and raw materials like cotton and yarn. Countries such as China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Turkey, and India are recognised for their extensive textile production and exports. These nations provide garments and textiles to leading global brands and major markets in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
India holds a strong position in the global textile market because of its rich tradition of fabrics such as cotton, silk, wool and jute, along with modern garment manufacturing. More than 4.5 crore people work in this industry, which is a significant part of the country’s economy. However, rising global competition and trade tensions create challenges. Recent actions, like the U.S. imposing higher tariffs on Indian goods, may impact India's textile exports. Still, India is one of the top five textile exporters in the world and continues to grow despite these difficulties.
