This Burgundy wine is the most costly wine bottle ever sold. Just 600 bottles were made in 1945 because phylloxera had ravaged vines soon after its harvest. Its deep flavours and historical value make it a dream for any wine collector.
2. Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon 1992 – ₹43,58,000
This Californian wine attained its value at a charity auction in Napa Valley in 2000. Its rarity and unfiltered method of production make it very valuable.
3. Jeroboam of Château Mouton-Rothschild 1945 – ₹27,02,960
A victory tribute to the Allies during World War II, this Bordeaux wine is known for its superior quality and historical importance. The bottle in question is equivalent to six regular bottles and was sold at an auction at a very high price.
4. Château Cheval Blanc 1947 – ₹26,59,880
This wine from Saint-Émilion is one of the finest ever made in the Bordeaux region. With only a handful of bottles left, this wine is quite prized among other connoisseurs.
