Astronauts with Maximum Space Time:  Space and astronauts have always been a topic of fascination for people across the world. Especially, NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, has deployed numerous astronauts on long-duration spaceflight missions to the International Space Station (ISS) and has shaped the modern world of space technology and space exploration. To know more, here’s a list of the astronauts who have spent the maximum number of days in space, their contributions, and their records, as per NASA data.

In another space news, India's Group Captain Subhanshu Shukla is making headlines for being one of the four crew members of Axiom Mission 4, which is widely known as Axiom 4. It is a landmark mission in space travel, which took off on June 25, 2025. The historic mission was executed by Axiom Space in collaboration with NASA. With this historic space trip, Subhanshu Shukla has become the first Indian to set foot on the ISS, but also the second Indian in history to travel to space after Rakesh Sharma's flight in 1984.

2. Sunita L. Williams – 608 Days

Sunita Williams is one of the most famous astronauts across the globe, all thanks to her record-breaking spacewalks throughout her years of space career. She has flown on four spaceflights till now, including extended-duration flights on Expeditions 14/15, 32/33, and 71/72. Williams holds the record for the longest spacewalk performed by a woman and was the first to complete a marathon in space.
