Valentine's Week 2025: Every year, February 14th is celebrated as the special day for lovers, which is Valentine’s Day and right before it is the week-long celebration of love popularly known as Valentine’s Week. This year was no different, the love week began with Rose Day which gave the perfect opportunity for people to express their feelings with a rose to their special someone. Then came Propose Day, Chocolate Day, Teddy and ends with a romantic Kiss Day to express feelings through physical affection.
Which Valentine's Day Is Today?
Today is Kiss Day, which is the seventh day of Valentine’s Week and is celebrated on Feb 13th every year. The day is a sweet reminder for people in love that physical affection is as important as emotional affection. Kiss Day is not just about physical affection, it is the trust, passion and deep connection between two people in love. However, traditionally Kiss was a symbol of respect and devotion and over a good amount of time through the influence of commercials and modern culture, the kiss became a universal symbol of love and intimacy.

Kiss is the perfect way for lovers to celebrate romance and emotional closeness. According to the popular health website, Healthline, Kissing releases hormones like oxytocin and dopamine, which are anti-stress hormones and known to boost happy feelings across the human body. Therefore, celebrate the day dedicated to physical affection with a peck on the cheeks, a flying kiss or a tender kiss on the lips of your lover. However, it is important to note that being mindful of personal boundaries and making sure that kisses are consensual is necessary.
