Marvel is reportedly preparing to launch the first trailer of Doomsday sooner than expected. Earlier reports suggested that the studio was planning to release the trailer alongside James Cameron's upcoming film, Avatar: Fire & Ash, in theatres on December 19. However, the latest updates suggest it will drop digitally first, on December 7.

According to The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez and several other online sources, the Avengers Doomsday trailer is expected to release on Sunday, December 7, at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT. Meanwhile, Marvel's Fantastic Four movie has been teasing fans with cryptic posts, which are assumed to hint at the trailer date of Doomsday.

How Will Avengers Doomsday Trailer Break MCU's 14 Year Rule?

According to reports, Marvel Studios might be taking cues from its previous successes in the Avengers franchise, including Age of Ultron, Infinity War, and Endgame. The trailer for Doomsday, set to release in December 2025, will break the 14-year tradition in the MCU as being released a full year ahead of its theatrical release on December 18, 2026. Marvel previously applied this formula during the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame in 2018, which set a world record for the most views in 24 hours. With Avengers Doomsday, Marvel appears to be aiming to repeat that historic moment.
