David Schwimmer, who played Ross Geller on the classic sitcom FRIENDS, has acknowledged that he didn't like the theme music, 'I'll Be There for You,' by The Rembrandts.
David Schwimmer said, "I’ll be really honest – there was a time for quite a while that just hearing the theme song would really uggh, " in an open confession on the David Walliams and Matt Lucas podcast, Making a Scene.
David Schwimmer, who is now 58, revealed that the excessive fame that accompanied the show and the strong repetition of the song were the main reasons for this aversion. "I was hearing it on repeat," he added. He further clarified that he was struggling with the demands of his newfound fame and the loss of privacy when he first hated the theme song.
