Godzilla x Kong Supernova: Godzilla x Kong: Supernova is the new title for the upcoming movie, announced by Warner Bros. and Legendary. The next chapter is scheduled for release in theaters in March 2027. To commemorate the beginning of the sixth movie in the Godzilla series, which began with Godzilla in 2014 and most recently debuted in theaters with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire in 2024, a teaser was also made dropped.

Godzilla x Kong Supernova Release Date

Godzilla x Kong: Supernova makers announced the release date of this much-awaited movie in the monsterverse. The post read, "Please stand by. Your call is very important to us. #GodzillaXKong: Supernova | Now in production. Only in theaters March 26, 2027. Report a Titan Sighting. Call (240) MON-ARCH (sic)."

Godzilla X Kong Supernova post prompted tonns of reactions from movie enthusiasts. Many showed excitement while others requested the makers to ensure better writing this time. "Excited as long as Godzilla gets alot more screen time. Last one was disappointing and this coming from a long time Godzilla fan, " read a comment. Another user wrote, "Better be Godzilla focused Kong can maybe just play a small role." A third user wrote, "Dude, I am hyped! Can't wait for more information." A fourth user said, "I'm just hoping for more godzilla representation this time around. The last one was pretty fun but it really felt like a kong movie that just so happened to have godzilla sprinkled in it until the ending."

Godzilla x Kong Supernova Cast And Plot Details

Supernova, directed by Grant Sputore (I Am Mother), is based on a script written by Michael Lloyd Green and David Callaham. Sam Neill, Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O'Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Dan Stevens—who returns to his role as veterinarian Trapper Beasley from the franchise's highest-grossing film, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire—are among the cast members.

Details of the upcoming movie's plot are largely unknown, although it will feature a number of new human characters as Godzilla and Kong fight a force that threatens to wipe out humanity. Producers are Thomas Tull and Mary Parent.
