Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were one of the golden couples in the history of Hollywood. Reportedly, the duo met on a blind date, which was arranged by their managers. After seeing each other for some time, they tied the knot in a lavish celebration in 2000. But the fairytale was short lived as the couple decided to head for a divorce. It was reported that Brad Pitt was having an extramarital affair with Angelina Jolie, and he admitted this painful confession to Aniston, who was left shattered with the news. Now, the Friends star has openly talked about her ugly phase and recalled her vulnerable time.
Jennifer Aniston recently talked about her past during an interview with Vanity Fair and recounted a feature interview she had given to them just after her divorce. Talking about the old interview, she said, “I haven’t looked at that article in forever. I just remember the experience of doing it, which was kind of jarring. It was also such a vulnerable time. But yeah, that was one for the memoirs.”
Back in the day, when Jennifer was dealing with her divorce, she was offered a role in the movie The Break-Up. The actress revealed that the makers of the movie were a little hesitant to pitch it to her because of what was going on in her life. But the stunning diva took this as an opportunity and said yes to the movie.

She revealed, “It was kind of cathartic to go right from that. So when they came to me, they were a little nervous about making the offer because they thought, ‘Oh, is that insensitive? Is it inappropriate?’ But I actually thought, ‘What a great opportunity.’ I knew it would actually kind of benefit me emotionally, just as a human being, and also serve the script and the character pretty well.”
Jennifer Aniston further shared that the media coverage and constant chatter about her divorce left her drained. She expressed that she didn’t have the strength to not get affected by all the gossip. “It was such juicy reading for people. If they didn’t have their soap operas, they had their tabloids. It’s a shame that it had to happen, but it happened,” she recalled.
Interestingly, before dating Jennifer, Brad Pitt had a romantic relationship with actress Gwyneth Paltrow. During the interview, Jennifer candidly said that she even attended their engagement party and is still friends with Gwyneth. The actress also shared that they do discuss about the F1 star sometimes.
