Lionsgate unveiled an emotional first look at its upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, 'Michael,' at CinemaCon 2024 in Las Vegas. The exclusive trailer debut left the audience in awe, setting the stage for the film's release on April 18, 2025. Directed by Antoine Fuqua ('The Equalizer' series, 'Southpaw'), the biographical musical drama promises to be a heartfelt portrayal of the King of Pop's life.

The trailer opens with a young Michael Jackson being encouraged by his mother, who tells him, "There might be some people who think you’re different, and that’s going to make life a little harder for you, but you never were like anyone else.” The video then transitions to scenes showcasing Jackson's journey from a young prodigy to a global icon, highlighting his passion for music and performance.

Producer Graham King revealed that the film will feature over 30 of Jackson's songs, offering a comprehensive look at his musical legacy. Despite the controversies and challenges Jackson faced, King emphasized that at his core, he was simply "a man who lived a very complicated life."

Jaafar Jackson, the nephew of Michael Jackson, portrays the iconic singer in the biopic. Colman Domingo stars as father Joe Jackson, Nia Long as mother Katherine Jackson, and Miles Teller as manager John Branca. The casting aims to capture the essence of Jackson's life, including his relationships with his family and the music industry.
