Pedro Pascal can soon be seen as Mister Fantastic, aka Reed Richards, in his upcoming Marvel movie, The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Pedro, popularly known as the internet’s Zaddy, is slowly stepping into franchises with huge fan bases, like playing the Mandalorian in the Star Wars universe and starring in The Last of Us. In the latest interview, Pedro can be seen talking about being fully aware of the initial backlash he faced after becoming a part of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. He also revealed that he hasn’t seen the finished movie yet.
Pedro Pascal shared his feelings during an interview with Vanity Fair and said, “I’m getting an inkling of excitement because it seems to reflect what our common goal was, and what we want to share, which is all of our f**king hearts on a platter within this genre. You just never know if people are going to be disgusted by your heart or not.”

The actor expressed his thoughts and shared that the whole experience was not without jitters. He said, “I’m more aware of disgruntlement around my casting than anything I’ve ever done. ‘He’s too old. He’s not right. He needs to shave.’” The Materialists star also added that amid all this, he has been taking guidance from his Avengers friend, Robert Downey Jr. According to Pedro Pascal, Robert is “just so immediately generous and inviting that you feel like you can be afraid, you can be hungry, you can be ambivalent”.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer was released in April and gave a first glimpse into this Marvel universe. The movie also stars Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm and is set to be released on July 25, 2025. The Fantastic Four will be up against the villain Galactus in the film. The Marvel movie is produced by Kevin Feige and directed by Shakman.
