Project Hail Mary: Ryan Gosling is all set to enthrall audiences with his role of Ryland Grace, a lone astronaut on a mission to space to save the world in the upcoming sci-fi adventure Project Hail Mary. The film, from Amazon MGM Studios, is an adaptation of author Andy Weir's novel of the same name and is being brought to life by directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, known for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The upcoming movie is slated to release on March 20, 2026. To build anticipation, the makers unveiled the first trailer of Project Hail Mary. Read on to learn everything about Ryan Gosling starrer.

Project Hail Mary Trailer Unveiled

The trailer opens up with the visuals of Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace, who wakes up on a spaceship far from Earth with no memory about his past and how he ended up there. He is heard saying, 'I am not the astronaut ', actually a middle school teacher. After gaining his consciousness, he uncovers the mystery behind him in the spacecraft. He finds out he is part of a last-ditch mission, Project Hail Mary, to save Earth from a dying sun from potential disasters. This encounter introduces Ryland Grace to a mysterious alien who shares a common goal like him to rescue their own species.

For being chosen for this risky space mission and knowing he might not come back, Gosling shows no inclination to do it. He was heard stating, "I understand the risks, but my priority is my students – my place is in the classroom." The Barbie fame appears opposite Sandra Hüller, who convinces Gosling’s character to launch himself into space to save the world.

Project Hail Mary Cast And Crew Members

Apart from Gosling, the movie also stars Sandra Hller, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung, and Milana Vayntrub. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller direct Project Hail Mary, which boasts an impressive team of production including Amy Pascal, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Aditya Sood, Rachel O’Connor, Andy Weir, and Ryan Gosling.
