Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt starrer ‘The Fall Guy’ is under the scanner ahead of its release. Viewers, who watched the film at the screenings have bashed it for a comedy scene that referred to Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's abusive marriage. The movie is set to release in USA on 3rd May.
The scene featuring Hannah Waddingham’s character, Gail Meyer, references Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's turbulent relationship. The scene showcases Gail Meyer, an executive producer in a movie, who is entering a trailer and says in disarray to Emily’s character Jody Moreno “It’s like Amber and Johnny were just in here”.
“They made a poorly aged joke about Johnny Depp and AMber Heard in the Fall Guy and now people hate the movie because of it and one guy got jumped for saying that it isn't the only joke in the movie,” A fan wrote. A comment reads, “I don’t really get Johnny Depp stands who defend the Fall Guy joke. If you believe him, don’t you think it’s kinda shitty to joke about a domestic abuse situation like that? I think it speaks to the type of people they are.”

The Fall Guy was very fun until the writers felt the need to put in a Johnny Depp and Amber Heard joke. pic.twitter.com/v1SPpoS258

About Johnny Depp and Amber Heard relationship
Notably, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard parted ways in 2016, and since then they have been accusing each other of domestic violence. The duo got married in 2015 but their marriage hit rock bottom after a year. After fighting legal battles for years on defamation, and domestic and sexual violence cases against each other, Johnny won all three cases of defamation in 2022.
