BTS, the Kpop group which debuted in 2013 and has become a global pop sensation since then is loved for its music, messages and the members’ charms and captivating performances. The seven bandmates RM, Jin, SUGA, Jhope, Jimin, V and Jungkook have currently paused all group activities due to them fulfilling their mandatory military service.

The eldest of them all, Jin aka Kim Seokjin, was the first one to enlist and now it is almost time for his return. Jin enlisted in the military in December 2022 and is getting discharged next month. The huge fanbase of the pop group known as ARMYs are celebrating already and have started the countdown until the first member returns after a long period of more than a year. Before enlisting in the military, Jin had recorded messages meant for each month for ARMYs that were released on BTS’ official YouTube channel ‘BANGTANTV’ and their Weverse channel.

In the message for May, Jin said, “Hi everyone! It’s great to see you. This is Jin. It’s May! Everyone, there are a lot of great days in May. Days that we get off. There’s Children’s Day, Parents’ Day, and Teachers’ Day. There are lots of those days, and I hope you enjoy your days off in May. I’m reaching the end of my videos that means I’ll be seeing you soon. The day that I’m filming this is the day “The Astronaut” dropped. I just finished up Weverse LIVE. You’ll be seeing me very soon. I’ve missed you a lot. Even when I’m looking at you, I still want to see more of you. That’s who ARMY is. Everyone, this is me a year and a half ago, no almost two years ago. A year and a half ago. This is how I look right now. Everyone, don’t forget! I’m not a vampire. This is me a year and a half ago. Have a great May and remember that I’ll be coming to you very soon. Everyone, see you soon! Bye!”

Since the message’s release, ARMYs have stormed social media platforms with messages and memes celebrating the member’s return. A fan wrote, “JIN's last monthly message we made it y’all, just 41 days more” highlighting the number of days left until his return while another fan wrote, “Seokjin for real coming back next month we ARE SOOO BACKKKK” expressing excitement that the ARMYs wait will finally be over.

BTS Jin before enlisting released his debut solo single ‘The Astronaut’ with lyrics co-penned by Coldplay and others. The track released on October 28, 2022, has received a lot of praise for Jin’s vocals and emotive Music Video. The Music Video has garnered more than a hundred million views since then. Fans are eagerly waiting for Jin’s return and probably new music from the ‘Moon’ crooner.
