Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s beautiful love story, woven from the stadium lights to the spotlight glows, has been garnering a lot of attention since the couple started to display their affection for each other publicly. Whether it is the sensational singer attending football matches or the American sports star being present to cheer his lady at her concerts, the couple has been all over the internet for their grand romantic gestures. Amid all these PDAs, Taylor Swift recently stirred a storm on the internet after making an appearance on Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast.
Taylor Swift opened up about her relationship with Travis Kelce and revealed how the athletic celebrity won her over with sweet gestures. During the whole podcast, what caught netizens’ attention was a revelation made by Taylor about her first date with Travis. The 14-time Grammy winner shared that during her first date, she asked an ‘insane’ question, which left Travis speechless, as she knew nothing about football.
“On our first date, I legitimately asked him what it was like when the Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl, and he looked across the line of scrimmage and saw his brother standing five feet away from him,” she said. This was a strange question because that was an impossible scenario, as both brothers played offensive positions and would never be on the field at the same time. “He didn’t even look at me. I now know what an insane question that was… I thought everyone was out there at the same time,” she laughed and said.
Blank Space singer also admitted that she owed her relationship to the podcast and jokingly said, “This podcast got me a boyfriend.” She recalled how Kelce first tried to meet her during her Kansas City stop on the Eras Tour in 2023. Further, during the conversation, Taylor expressed that at first, she thought it was really a wild romantic gesture from Travis to make several failed attempts of meeting her as he threw ‘man-tantrums’ and made this everyone’s problem.
Taylor Swift continued to explain that Travis’s wish to give her a bracelet with his phone number on it was exactly the kind of thing she has been writing about since she was a teenager. She even compared the gesture to an ’80s John Hughes movie. The singer revealed that after a few conversations, she realised Travis genuinely wanted to get to know her in a very natural, down-to-earth way.
