What The Assessment Movie Is All About?

This sci-fi movie follows Mia (played by Elizabeth Olsen) and Aaryan (Himesh Patel), a couple who hope to become parents in the near future where resources are extremely limited and the government controls the citizens' right to parenthood. Ahead of their pregnancy plan, they are assigned an assessor named Virginia (Vikander), who moves into their home to live with them for seven days to evaluate whether they are ready to move forward in their parenting journey.

The routine test quickly unravels into a psychological nightmare for Mia and Aaryan, forcing them to question the very foundations of their society and what it truly means to be human in the world. In the movie, Olsen is heard saying, “I want a real child not this.” The futuristic thriller brings the themes of love, identity, and self-discovery in a world shaped by artificial intelligence and government control.
