Tom Holland, known for portraying the powerful and unbeatable superhero Spider-Man, has a massive fanbase worldwide. Despite living a glamorous life and being constantly under the spotlight, actors also go through some personal battles that remain unknown to the world. Unlike his character’s onscreen ability to fight off any obstacle, Tom Holland also has to deal with some personal battles. The actor has always been vocal about having Dyslexia since his childhood, but now he has also shared having ADHD and talked about the struggles he faced while dealing with it. He also shed light on how these disorders hamper his creative process while working.
Tom Holland recently talked about Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - a neurodevelopmental condition that can significantly affect daily life. During a recent interview with IGN, he discussed his challenges and said, “I have ADHD and I'm dyslexic, and I find sometimes when someone gives me a blank canvas that it can be slightly intimidating. Sometimes you are met with those challenges when developing a character.”

He continued, “Any way that you can, as a young person or as an adult, interact with something that forces you to be creative and forces you to think outside the box and make changes. I think that the more we do that sort of stuff, the better.”

This was not the first time the Cherry star talked about his personal battles. The young star had previously opened up about struggling with Dyslexia and how the ‘spellings’ became a big challenge for him. During an old interview with Jay Shetty on his podcast, Tom revealed, “My dyslexia, it’s really just my spelling. My spelling was really the biggest hurdle. I worked really hard at school. I didn’t do particularly well but my parents said, ‘As long as you try your best.’”
In one of his older interviews, Tom also shared helpful advice for people who dealt with such disorders. The actor expressed that it's all about giving yourself the appropriate time to do the things you really have to do. He suggested that the better prepared you are for anything, the more you'll be able to do and accomplish things that are fantastic.
