Actors Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are expecting their first child very soon. The adorable couple shared the great news in July this year via their social media handles. Soon to be mother Patralekhaa recently got candid about her journey and revealed that she had frozen her eggs three years prior as a precautionary measure. However, Patralekhaa also shared that she has conceived naturally and found it significantly easier and less taxing than the egg-freezing procedure.
Rajkummar’s wife and talented actress Patralekhaa recently joined Soha Ali Khan on her podcast and opened up about her pregnancy journey. From talking about the pregnancy blues to gaining weight, the actress shared all her struggles. Patralekhaa revealed, "I had also frozen my eggs about three years back, and now that I am pregnant, I feel pregnancy was way easier than freezing the eggs.”

She further added, “My doctor didn’t tell me then that how difficult it was going to be. I had gained weight… also the blues that I had, once my egg freezing was done. So between the two, I would always recommend that the young girls should just get pregnant. It’s just easier than going through that whole process.”

Talking about getting family pressure, The City Lights actress mentioned that her mother wanted her to have kids. “My mum did (say). My mum was not excited, she really wanted Raj and me to have a baby, she loves kids. After two years, she was like You and Raj can go screw yourselves because I am not going to ask you anymore. Then we saw you [Soha] and Kunal [Kemmu]… we had gone on some holidays… so we saw both of you with Inaaya, and it was so beautiful. Like I said, it was a natural progression,” she exclaimed during the podcast.
Patralekhaa also shared that she was unaware about her pregnancy as her kit showed a ‘negative’ report after the test. It was only when she consulted with a professional doctor that she got to know about her pregnancy. The couple didn’t share the news with anyone for the first three months after the consultation of her gynecologist.
