The Last Witch Hunter Again: Vin Diesel, star of 'The Last Witch Hunter,' recently posted a throwback image on his Instagram account, hinting at a sequel to the 2015 action fantasy film. Directed by Breck Eisner, the movie features Diesel in the role of Kaulder, the last surviving witch hunter tasked with protecting humanity from a deadly plague unleashed by witches. Despite mixed reviews from critics and modest box office success, Diesel has long teased the possibility of a sequel.
In his Instagram post, Diesel reminisces about his time portraying Kaulder and suggests that audiences may not have seen the last of the character. The actor emphasises the significance of the role during that period of his life, sparking speculation about the potential for "The Last Witch Hunter 2." Dropping the picture, he wrote, "Throwback Thursday…I have been blessed to embody so many iconic characters… some universal, and some that only some of you know."
He added, "It was an honor to bring an immortal to the screen for Lionsgate… someday I will explain where my head and heart was and why the character of Kaulder was so significant to me… it was a powerful moment in my life, as many of you know. Can’t wait until you see where the immortal goes next. All love, always…"
