Penn Badgley and his wife, Domino Kirke, have joyfully expanded their family as they welcomed identical twin boys, taking their household from four to six members. The couple, who are already parents to two sons a 16-year-old and a 4-year-old shared the news with fans earlier this week. The Gossip Girl and You star made the announcement on Wednesday, September 3, with an intimate video on Instagram that melted hearts. The clip not only confirmed the arrival of the twins but also gave fans a touching peek into the early days of their parenthood journey.

In the Instagram video, Penn was seen whispering as he shared the good news while promoting a live event for his upcoming book Crushmore. At one point, he revealed the tiny feet of one of his newborns, dressed in little white socks. “I’m interrupting my paternity leave, which I’m on, by the way, which is also why I’m whispering. Here, look, wanna see baby feet? Just tiny, little baby feet right there. I don’t wanna wake them up," he said. The video beautifully captured the quiet joy of a father revelling in his newborns while juggling his professional commitments. Penn later explained the couple’s busy schedule despite his paternity leave, and wrote, “Interrupting twin paternity leave to announce a live event @podcrushed at @symphonyspace Oct 14 NYC supporting the release of our book CRUSHMORE. Truly proud of this one. Please check it out! @podcrushed for all info.”

Meanwhile, Badgley and Kirke tied the knot in 2017. By marrying Domino, Penn also became a stepfather to her son, Cassius Riley, born in 2009 from her previous relationship with musician Morgan O’Kane. In 2020, the couple welcomed their first child together, a son, whose name they have chosen to keep private. Earlier this year, Domino announced her pregnancy, revealing that they were expecting twins due in summer 2025.

On the other hand, ahead of the birth, Penn had spoken about his excitement. At the You premiere, he said, “They’re identical boys, so now we have four boys. You know, I do mean this sincerely. It sounds a bit tacky, but the world needs more good men, so you know, pressure’s on us to raise them well." Reflecting further on the journey, he shared on The Tonight Show, “I mean, it’s thrilling. Obviously, it’s a nice dose of reality, like every time I see the sonogram, it just feels so good. There’s a sonogram of them almost like facing each other, just kind of like this. I cannot fathom what it would be like to have somebody with you in there. And I’m going to be parenting them? I’m going to have to raise them." Penn also revealed how his other sons reacted to the news of becoming brothers again. “So, the 4-year-old we have, he’s stoked because he really wants to be a big brother. The 16-year-old, he’s excited for us, but he’s also, like, ‘I’m gonna leave in two years.’"
