A recent photo of US President Donald Trump has ignited a firestorm of speculation on social media over a mysterious bulge spotted beneath his trousers. Shared by a user on X, the viral image reveals a strange serpentine outline on his left leg just below the knee, prompting many to question whether Trump is using a medical device.

Observers online were quick to guess the nature of the lump, with theories ranging from Ankle Foot Orthotics (AFOs), which are used to treat conditions like foot drop caused by nerve damage, to a Foley catheter. “Appears Trump is wearing a catheter,” one user remarked while reposting the viral photo, originally taken on Monday.

The Daily Boulder highlighted the possibility that Trump might be wearing a medical device, further fueling the frenzy. While Trump was seen smiling and posing with a championship belt in the same appearance, all eyes were on his lower half.

Health Rumours Gain Steam 

Theories about Trump's health are nothing new. Viewers have often noticed instances where he leaned awkwardly while speaking or stood on sandbags, leading some to suggest he needs additional physical support. The bulge spotted in his pants now adds to these concerns.

One user tweeted: “Is the President wearing a Foley catheter? Where’s @jaketapper?” a reference to CNN’s Jake Tapper, who co-authored a book on President Joe Biden’s health. 

Elon Musk's Grok AI Chimes In

Amidst the social media storm, some users tagged Elon Musk’s AI tool, Grok, asking for a fact-based explanation of the protrusion. The AI assistant replied: “There’s no evidence Donald Trump has ‘Bungalow Legs,’ a humorous, non-medical term. Social media posts speculate about a bulge in his trouser leg, suggesting a catheter or brace, but his April 2025 medical report states he’s in ‘excellent health’ with no such issues.”
