Camryn Kinsey, a former Trump administration official and occasional Fox News political commentator, fainted mid-broadcast during a live segment on Fox News on Thursday. Kinsey, who briefly served as the external relations director in the White House presidential personnel office under President Donald Trump, was critiquing former President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris when the incident occurred.

Kinsey was discussing what she described as the failures of the Biden administration, specifically targeting Harris' role as border czar. "They have to rewrite history because they had a failed campaign, they had a failed presidency. They put her as the border czar. She never went to the border. So this is about incompetence. It’s not about ideology,” Kinsey said, visibly becoming lightheaded before collapsing.

The sudden incident shocked host Jonathan Hunt, who exclaimed, "Oh my goodness, we’re just going to get some help here for Camryn," as crew members rushed to assist. Visibly shaken, Hunt briefly attempted to continue the segment with another guest but quickly opted for a commercial break to allow the situation to be addressed.

Upon returning to air, Hunt provided a reassuring update: “Camryn is up and moving, we have paramedics checking her out now. We will keep you updated, and of course, we wish Camryn all the best.” Paramedics treated Kinsey on-site, and she was cleared after evaluation. A Fox News spokesperson later confirmed to USA Today, “After Fox News @ Night guest Camryn Kinsey fainted during a live on-air appearance last night in our Los Angeles bureau, paramedics were called, and she was treated and cleared. We are happy to hear she is now feeling much better and wish her a speedy recovery.”

Reason not disclosed

The cause of Kinsey’s collapse has not been disclosed by either Kinsey or Fox News as of the latest updates. However, Kinsey addressed the incident on X on May 9, expressing gratitude for the swift response and support she received. “Wow, sorry for the scare last night. I want to start by thanking the incredible Fox News team and the EMTS who responded with such speed and care,” she wrote. “It was an unexpected and frightening moment, but thanks to their professionalism and kindness, I’m doing well.”

Kinsey also thanked her supporters, adding, “To everyone who has called, texted, prayed, or checked in, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support has meant the world. I’m taking it slow, staying hydrated, letting my body rest, and thanking the Lord that everything is okay.” She ended her post with a touch of humour, noting, “It may not have been how I planned to end the segment, but I’ll be back on your TV soon. Hopefully long enough to finally finish my point about Kamala!”

The incident sparked concern among viewers, but Kinsey’s recovery and positive outlook have reassured many. Fox News and Hunt reiterated their well-wishes, with the network continuing to monitor her condition. Kinsey’s brief but impactful tenure in the Trump administration and her role as a pundit have kept her in the public eye, and her resilience in addressing this health scare has further highlighted her determination to return to the airwaves.
