US President Joe Biden may visit Israel soon at the invitation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Reuters quoted sources as saying. Biden's visit to demonstrate support for the biggest American ally in the Middle East would come after Secretary of State Antony Blinken's, who is currently in the region.
Reuters cited the source confirming reports by a variety of Israeli news outlets that Netanyahu invited Biden during a recent phone call about the response to the attack on Israel by Hamas militants. However, the White House refused to give any remark. "We have no new travel to announce," said National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson.

Meanwhile, Biden, while speaking about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, Biden said he is "confident" Israel will act under the rules of war in its conflict with Palestine and added deploying US troops is not necessary.

In an interview with "60 Minutes," Biden said that while he believes Hamas must be eliminated entirely, there must be a path for a Palestinian state. And he cautioned that the threat of terrorism in the United States had increased due to unrest in the Middle East.
The US President warned it would be a mistake for Israel to occupy Gaza but that "taking out" Hezbollah and Hamas was a "necessary requirement." He said, "It would be a mistake to ... for Israel to occupy ... Gaza again."
Gaza authorities say more than 2,670 people have been killed there, a quarter of them children. Casualties are expected to rise as Israel prepares for a ground assault on the tiny, densely populated enclave that could start within days.
According to many US officials, the United States is appealing to Israel to allow humanitarian efforts for Gaza's residents trapped in the area.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Antony Blinken has already been travelling around the Mideast this past week in an effort to stop the fight with Hamas from igniting a broader regional conflict.
As many as 1,300 people have been killed and over 3,600 have been injured alone in Israel in the ongoing violence.
