A chilling case of serial killings has shocked New York City after prosecutors accused 38-year-old Tabitha Bundrick of luring men with sex and drugs before robbing them, leaving at least three dead. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office says Bundrick preyed on vulnerable men in Washington Heights, turning chance encounters into fatal setups.

Bundrick targeted street men for sex, usually at empty apartments she had burglarised or at their homes, prosecutors said. She then presented them with drugs, telling them it was cocaine, but the drugs were mixed with fentanyl, a potent opioid that has been responsible for numerous overdose fatalities. After Bundrick had incapacitated her victims, prosecutors said, she would steal cash, credit cards, sneakers, phones, and other property and then leave.

“This conduct was extremely calculated and callous,” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said. “This type of behaviour will not be tolerated in Manhattan.”

Three Fatal Encounters

The first death tied to Bundrick occurred on April 20, 2023. She approached two men on the street and led them to an empty apartment. Both consumed fentanyl-laced drugs. One awoke to find his friend, 42-year-old Mario Paullan, dead beside him and their valuables missing.

The second fatal incident was on September 27, 2023, when Bundrick met 39-year-old Miguel Navez and accompanied him home. Navez’s brother later found him dead, with several possessions stolen.

On February 25, 2024, prosecutors say Bundrick followed 34-year-old Abrihan Fernandez to his apartment. He also died after consuming fentanyl-laced drugs. Bundrick was seen leaving with multiple large bags, and investigators later found she used Fernandez’s credit card.

Who Is Tabitha Bundrick?

Branded by the New York Post as a “hooker from hell,” Bundrick is accused of presenting herself as a sex worker while manipulating men into drug use. Prosecutors argue she deliberately pushed them to take the laced drugs, making her crimes not just about theft but a calculated strategy of lethal exploitation.

Bundrick, who has pleaded not guilty to the state murder charges, was already sentenced in August to 13 years in federal prison for related drug crimes tied to the same deaths. The murder trial now adds a more severe dimension to her case.
