In a shocking incident in Florida, a 22-year-old pizza delivery driver, Brianna Alvelo, allegedly stabbed a woman 14 times at a motel following dissatisfaction with a $2 (Rs 170) tip. The violent attack, which took place at the victim's residence, has left the community reeling with disbelief.

According to a report by NBC News, the victim, who miraculously survived the ordeal, later discovered she was pregnant while receiving treatment for her injuries at a local hospital.

A woman, her boyfriend, and her 5-year-old daughter were staying at a Kissimmee motel to celebrate a birthday and ordered a Marco's pizza, according to an affidavit by the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

The pizza, costing about USD 33 (Rs 2822), was delivered by Brianna Alvelo, who was asked to provide change for a USD 50 bill (Rs 4276). When Alvelo couldn’t provide change, the woman searched for smaller bills and ultimately gave a USD 2 (Rs 170) tip, which reportedly sparked the subsequent violent incident.

Later, the woman heard loud knocking and opened the door to find a masked man and woman in black forcing their way in, the affidavit stated. The man, armed with a silver revolver, ordered the woman's boyfriend into the bathroom, while the other, believed to be Brianna Alvelo, wielded a pocketknife.

Alvelo allegedly rummaged through the woman’s purse, broke her daughter’s Nintendo Switch, and struck the woman in the back as she shielded her child.

The victim underwent emergency surgery for a ruptured lung and multiple stab wounds to her chest, arms, legs, and abdomen, as reported by CBS News. She is now in stable condition, according to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

Brianna Alvelo now faces a slew of serious charges, including attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping, and aggravated assault.
