Virginia Giuffre’s forthcoming memoir, Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, paints a harrowing portrait of her experiences as a victim of Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking network, including an alleged violent encounter with a high-profile politician she refers to only as the “Prime Minister.” The book, set to release next week, reveals the physical and psychological trauma Giuffre endured while under Epstein’s control.
Giuffre, who tragically died by suicide at 41, recounts first meeting the politician in 2002 on Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands. At 18, she was ordered to escort him to a cabana, where he allegedly choked her until she lost consciousness, raped her, and took pleasure in seeing her terrorised. “I emerged from the cabana bleeding from my mouth, vagina, and anus. For days, it hurt to breathe and to swallow,” Giuffre wrote in an excerpt obtained by the New York Post.
Despite her pleas for protection, Epstein reportedly showed little concern. “I got down on my knees and pleaded with him. I don’t know if Epstein feared the man or if he owed him a favour, but he wouldn’t make any promises,” Giuffre recalled. She described Epstein’s response as a cold acceptance of the politician’s brutality: “You’ll get that sometimes.”

A subsequent encounter occurred aboard Epstein’s private jet, the infamous Lolita Express. While the second encounter was less violent, Giuffre spent the entire time in fear of being struck or strangled, a trauma she said marked a turning point in her perception of Epstein. Prior to these incidents, Giuffre had given Epstein the benefit of the doubt, believing he cared for the girls he trafficked. The memoir reveals that this belief was shattered after experiencing the indifference and cruelty of both Epstein and his associates.
Giuffre also detailed the pressures she faced to recruit other young girls for Epstein, a practice she ultimately refused to continue after her encounters with the politician. She described a chilling moment when Epstein and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, proposed that she carry a child for them, a plan she feared could create another trafficking victim. This prompted Giuffre to begin planning her escape, finally leaving their control shortly afterwards.
Throughout the memoir, Giuffre conveys the lasting impact of her trauma, particularly the “greedy, cruel look on the Prime Minister’s face as he watched me beg for my life.” The politician, identified in media reports as Ehud Barak, has repeatedly denied knowledge of Epstein’s sex trafficking operations or Giuffre’s allegations.
