Fans of WWE were in for a huge surprise at Backlash 2025 when Jeff Cobb burst onto the scene in a stunning debut, joining with Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline 2.0. The international wrestling sensation and former Olympian interrupted the United States Championship match, supporting Jacob Fatu in keeping his title in a wild Fatal Four-Way match. Cobb's arrival was greeted with a thunderous response, both within the arena and on social media, as it turned out to be a game-altering moment in the continued Bloodline saga.

Introduced by Solo Sikoa mid-match, Cobb entered the ring and launched a brutal assault on LA Knight, allowing Fatu to capitalize and escape with the United States Championship. But this celebration was hardly in harmony. Fatu could be seen glowering at Solo and Cobb post-match, giving a sense that there may be internal conflict among The Bloodline's new segment. The attack has immediately made Jeff Cobb a top gun in WWE, disrupting the firm's mid-card landscape.

Who is Jeff Cobb?

While Jeff Cobb is new to WWE, he is far from unfamiliar with the squared circle. A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Cobb is an ex-amateur wrestling star who competed for Guam in freestyle wrestling at the 2004 Summer Olympics. After his Olympic stint, Cobb turned pro, he developed a reputation for his unique blend of power and agility in a way that is unlike anyone else.

Cobb has wrestled for some of the world's best wrestling promotions, including:

• New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW): As part of the United Empire stable.
• Ring of Honor (ROH): Featured for hard-hitting in-ring action and intense championship presence.
• Lucha Underground & PWG: Minor titleholder to major titles such as the Lucha Underground Championship and PWG World Title.
• AEW (2022–2024): Appeared as Will Ospreay's United Empire ally.

His world-class reputation as one of the best unsigned stars in the world preceded his WWE debut.

Is WWE Veteran Rhyno Related To Jeff Cobb?

Soon after Cobb's debut, fans were speculating whether Cobb was related to retired WWE Superstar Rhyno because they look similar and share the same wrestling attire. There is no family relation between the two. Though Cobb is from Hawaii, Rhyno was born in Detroit, Michigan. Their careers also differed greatly. Strangely, Rhyno recently made a comeback of his own, not in WWE, but in AEW, where he appeared on the May 7, 2025, Dynamite episode. The 49-year-old wrestled in WWE for the last time in 2019 before returning to the independent circuit

With Jeff Cobb now officially part of The Bloodline 2.0, WWE’s landscape could change dramatically. However, Fatu’s visible unease after the match suggests a potential rift already forming in the newly restructured group. As WWE builds toward King and Queen of the Ring 2025, all eyes will be on Jeff Cobb, a world-traveled powerhouse who might just be the X-factor in this new era of The Bloodline.
