The war of words between Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and her opponent, Donald Trump, is intensifying ahead of the high-stakes US presidential election slated for November this year. Harris, who entered the fray after Joe Biden opted out of the race proposing her name for the top post, rejected Trump’s debate proposal after the latter announced he would refrain from participating in the presidential debate with the former at ABC News on September 10.

Kamala Harris has also rejected Donald Trump's suggestion to move the presidential debate to Fox News. Notably, Trump and current President Joe Biden had agreed to hold two debates in the month of May. But in the meantime, Biden withdrew from the presidential race.

People considered Biden weak for the election, after which Vice President Kamala Harris was declared the presidential candidate from the Democratic Party. The first debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump was held on CNN in June.

Kamala Harris said on X (formerly Twitter) that she is ready to debate with Trump on the pre-scheduled date of September 10.

As Trump backs out of the proposed schedule, Kamala said, “It’s interesting how any time, any place becomes one specific time, one specific safe space. I’ll be there on September 10th, like he agreed to. I hope to see him there.”

Vice President Harris claimed that Trump was scared of her and needed Fox News's help to avoid the scheduled debate with her on ABC News.
