According to the Global Power Index 2025, the United States continues to dominate with a Power Index score of 0.0744, leading in both active military personnel and defence technology. Russia and China tie at 0.0788, but differ in composition — with Russia relying on a vast reserve force and China fielding the world’s largest standing army.
