A young man in Agra allegedly tried to end his life by consuming mosquito repellent after a breakup with his girlfriend. The incident came to light when the man posted a video of the act on Instagram, prompting local police to respond swiftly and save him. The video showed the man, visibly distressed, taking sips of the chemical and wincing in discomfort.

The footage caught the attention of the Police Commissioner's media cell, which alerted Trans Yamuna Police Station. Acting on this tip, constables Durgashankar and Manoj Kumar rushed to his rented residence in Sati Nagar Naraich around 3:30 AM on Saturday, reported by Navbharat Times.

Upon reaching his home, police officers knocked on the door but received no response. They forcibly entered and found the man in a semi-conscious state, clutching his stomach in pain. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he received treatment and his condition reportedly stabilised.
