A disturbing case of murder has emerged in Laudana, under the jurisdiction of the Jahangirpur police station, where a woman living in a rented accommodation was found dead. The crime came to light early Thursday morning when police interrupted an attempt to dispose of the victim's body.
The Incident And Discovery
Police received a tip-off in the early hours of Thursday regarding suspicious activity in a vacant house, where an unknown individual was reportedly digging a pit to dispose of a woman's body.
Upon the arrival of the police team, the suspect managed to flee the scene. The police recovered the body from the location and identified the victim as Ranjana Chaudhary.
The body has been taken into custody and sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Victim's Background And Living Situation
Ranjana Chaudhary, originally a resident of Laudana, was married approximately ten years ago in Kheria Khurd village (Tappal police station area, Aligarh). Following a domestic dispute with her husband at her in-laws' house, she had returned to her native village.
Instead of staying with her parents, she had been living separately in a rented house in Mohalla Kumharan for some time.
Past Incidents And Family History
The victim’s family has faced tragedy and legal issues in the recent past:
Brother’s Death: Approximately two years ago, the body of Ranjana's brother was found on the Delhi-Howrah railway track near Khurja Junction.
Harassment Case: Some time ago, Ranjana had been subjected to harassment by a man. She filed a formal case against the individual, following which the police arrested the accused and sent him to jail.

The police are currently investigating the matter. The search for the suspect who fled the scene is underway, and the post-mortem report is awaited to guide further investigation.
