The Akrabad bus station in Aligarh district is set to undergo a major revamp, with the Uttar Pradesh government sanctioning Rs 2.54 crore for its reconstruction. The first instalment of Rs 1 crore has already been released.
The project will be executed by Construction and Design Services, an agency under the UP Jal Nigam. Officials have directed that the work be completed on time and in line with high-quality standards, with special provisions for persons with disabilities.

The cost of the project will be finalised through the tender process to ensure transparency and prevent overspending. The Transport Corporation will be required to submit monthly expenditure reports, while both the executing agency and the Corporation will share responsibility for timely and quality completion.
Once completed, the upgraded bus station is expected to provide improved facilities for passengers and strengthen public transport services in the Akrabad region.
