Tourists visiting Ramnagari Ayodhya for the upcoming Deepotsav on October 19 will also have the opportunity to explore eco-tourism sites across Uttar Pradesh. The Eco-Tourism Board has prepared five tour packages covering natural attractions in Lucknow, Unnao, Varanasi, Chandauli, and Ghazipur, all starting from Ayodhya.
Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh said the packages are available for booking on the eco-tourism website www.upecoboard.up.gov.in. The Tourism Department is organising the Deepotsav, with preparations underway to attempt a world record by lighting 26 lakh diyas (earthen lamps).

Highlights of the eco-tourism packages include:
-Two-day package: Day 1 - tour of Ayodhya; Day 2 - visit to Parvati Arga Bird Sanctuary in Gonda.
-Three-day package: Day 1 - Lucknow; Day 2 - Ayodhya; Day 3 - Kukrail Forest in Lucknow.
-Four-day package: Two days in Ayodhya; two days at Ramsar site, Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary in Unnao.
-Three-day Varanasi-Ghazipur package: Includes famous sites in Ayodhya and Kashi, Turtle Breeding and Rehabilitation Centre in Sarnath, Ganga Darpan Museum, and dolphin watching in the Ganga river at Saidpur, Ghazipur.

-Five-day, four-night package: Covers Ayodhya, Varanasi, Ghazipur, and Chandauli, including a visit to Rajdari and Devdari waterfalls on the fourth day.
Minister Singh highlighted that these packages aim to combine cultural celebrations with nature tourism, offering visitors a unique experience of Ayodhya’s festivities and Uttar Pradesh’s ecological treasures.
