A severe technical problem was discovered in the newly built Ram temple in Ayodhya. There is no drainage system inside the sanctum sanctorum. The priests are concerned because the water coming from the 'Jal Abhishek' and the bath of Lord Shri Ram is not being cleared.

Engineers are working on drainage plans, even though the trust has refused any fault and stated that the water coming out of the sanctum sanctorum is being safeguarded by considering it as 'Charanamrit.'

Lord Shri Ram, who is seated in the great temple, is anointed and bathed every morning before the adornment ceremony. Along with Saryu's water, he is bathed in Madhu Park, a concoction of milk, curd, ghee, and honey. The priests are concerned because there is no provision for draining the water that falls on the surface of the sanctum sanctorum after the bath.

The trust members have been made aware of this. Engineers are currently diagnosing this technical problem. As an immediate solution, the priests have made provisions for a large plate to be held during Abhishek and washing so that the water falls into it rather than spreading over the surface. This water is later distributed to the plants. Whatever small amounts of water spill, a dry cloth is used to absorb it.

Dr Anil Mishra, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, has categorically denied that the sanctum sanctorum contains any technical flaws. He claims that the water that comes from the Lord's bath and anointment is in the form of Charanamrit. The Trust does not classify it as water. That is why it has been kept.

Due to a lack of cooling options to protect Ram Lalla from the heat, two tower air conditioners were built. However, these ACs appear to be insufficient. The priest said that the engineers at Ram Mandir are also actively looking for answers to this problem. The Ram Mandir Trust has declined to respond.
