With the construction of the Ram Mandir structure concluded, the temple trust has shared updated visuals of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. This comes at a time when the state is preparing for the Dhwajarohan ceremony, symbolically one of the iconic moments in the state in modern times. This symbolically powerful moment for devotees worldwide will occur on November 25, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisting a flag atop the 191-foot-tall spire of the temple.

In the updated visuals posted on the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of the Ram Janambhoomi temple, glittering gold-plated kalash works, sandstone pillars, polished pathways, and intricate carvings are prominently featured, showcasing the spiritual grandeur and detailed craftsmanship of the newly constructed shrine.

A team of engineers and ceremonial heads has conducted multiple rehearsals before the Dhwajarohan ceremony, set to take place later in the month. The ceremony will be attended by seers, dignitaries, and thousands of devotees.

Rise Of Temple Tourism In Ayodhya

Since the construction of the Ram temple, Ayodhya has seen a historic increase in tourists from across India and abroad. This surge in "temple tourism" is credited with taking the entire economy of Uttar Pradesh to new heights.

- 2023: 57.6 million tourists visited Ayodhya.

- 2024: Approximately 164.4 million pilgrims visited Ram Lalla, described as a record.

The November 25 event is set to give the temple economy of the place yet another major global push, especially with significant coverage of the event worldwide. As a result of this mega economic push, the city is widely considered as the world’s largest spiritual city, backed by massive state investment and private hospitality expansion. Currently, Ayodhya’s tourism contributes 1.5 per cent to UP’s GSDP which is expected to rise in the coming years.
