The Uttar Pradesh government has approached several social media influencers to promote the cultural heritage of Ayodhya and the stories related to the construction of Ram Temple on various social media platforms. The Cultural Department of the UP Government engaged with prominent influencers to create content that could compare the purpose of sharing the legacy of the Ram Temple before the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram in Ayodhya on January 22. 

The Yogi Adityanath-led government has also allocated a budget of Rs 25 lakhs to the Cultural Department and tasked them to reach out to people through social media platforms. “Influencers with a significant presence on major social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube have already been approached for collaboration.” Mukesh Meshram, principal secretary of tourism and culture, said.

The official said the government is also producing documentary films on events related to Ramayana while adding that the series of events also includes book releases by various authors focusing on the life and philosophy of Hindu deity Ram. He added that an additional Rs 1 crore budget will also be provided for an album centred on Ramayana featuring devotional singers from India and abroad.

The story of Ram will be displayed through various shows on the Saryu River, including projection mapping, drones, and lasers on water screens. The river will also showcase the historical links of Ayodhya with Jainism and Buddhism, for which Rs 10 crore has been allotted, reported news agency IANS. 

The facades of shops on Rampath, Janmabhoomi Path and Bhakti Path are being renovated with symbols such as conch, trident, bow and arrow, mace, chakra, swastika and the saffron flag, painted in white and saffron on a dark maroon background. 

The facade work is being done by the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA), as per its secretary Satyendra Singh, who also said that a separate budget of Rs 42 crore has been allocated for this purpose.

The ADA is also widening the 13-km Rampath with Rs 798 crore, the 742-metre Bhaktipath with Rs 62 crore and beautifying the two-kilometre-long Dharampath with Rs 65 crore and the 566-metre-long Janmabhoomi Path with Rs 39 crore.
