BJP MLA from Loni, Nand Kishore Gujar, alleged widespread cow slaughter and corruption under Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government. Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Gujar claimed that 50,000 cows were being slaughtered daily in the state. He accused officials of embezzling funds meant for cow welfare, calling the situation "loot everywhere."

Nand Kishore Gujar urged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to intervene and blamed Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra for the alleged mismanagement. He expressed frustration over lawmakers’ pleas being ignored and wondered whether it was being done at the behest of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

"Under our government, 50,000 cows are being slaughtered every day. These officers are eating into the money meant for the welfare of cows. This means there is loot everywhere. The matter must reach the chief minister," the legislator said as quoted by news agency PTI.

Referring to a recent video showing two constables caught extorting money in Loni, Gujar emphasised the need for strict action against corrupt officials. He predicted that effective measures could secure the BJP 375 seats in the next assembly elections but warned that inaction might lead to several candidates losing their deposits.

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav shared a clip of Gujar's remarks on X, criticising internal BJP disputes. "The public is suffering while officers exploit the chaos. This fight stems from corruption, as everyone wants to monopolise the benefits," Akhilesh Yadav said.

The allegations follow a separate controversy involving Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel, who claimed threats from the Uttar Pradesh Police's Special Task Force (STF). Pallavi Patel, a Samajwadi Party MLA from Sirathu, accused Patel of corruption in appointing department heads in the Technical Education Department.

Ashish Patel dismissed the accusations, labelling them a "larger conspiracy" and asserting that he would not resign unless directed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
