A dramatic incident unfolded in Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba when a scuffle broke out between the Water Resources Minister, Swatantra Dev Singh and Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Brajbhushan Rajput over the water scarcity and poor road issues in the region. The minister was stopped by the Charkhari MLA's supporters, after which an ugly argument took place.
He was returning after attending the ABVP's Yuva Udghosh program at Ramshri College in the city, when the BJP MLA, along with village heads and supporters, stopped his convoy. An argument ensued between the minister and the MLA. Tensions also flared between their security personnel.
As the matter escalated, the minister and the MLA reached the District Magistrate’s office over the water scarcity and road construction issues. According to media reports, the Charkhari MLA was upset with the minister over the lack of water supply in several villages and the failure to repair the roads that had been dug up for the pipeline.

Minister, MLA Reach DM Office With Village Heads
When Singh arrived in Mahoba today, the MLA and his supporters blocked his way, which led to a heated argument and scuffle. They sloganeered against Singh, demanding solutions to their woes. Seeing the situation escalating, both decided to meet the DM with the village heads. The BJP leaders arrived at the DM office, and they discussed the issues.
The local leader alleged that there has been a severe water shortage in the villages, forcing people to suffer. The unusual incident in which two BJP leaders were engaging in a heated argument publicly drew people's attention on social media. The videos of the incident emerged on social media, in which both the minister and the MLA are seen angrily arguing.
