Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday announced that a new phase of the state government’s flagship women’s safety initiative Mission Shakti will be launched during Shardiya Navratri. Issuing a stern warning to officials, he said negligence in resolving public grievances would not be tolerated and that complainant satisfaction would be the benchmark for assessing performance.
Chairing a high-level review meeting with divisional commissioners, district magistrates, police chiefs, and senior officials via video conference from his official residence, the CM reviewed law and order, IGRS and CM Helpline complaints, upcoming festivals, flood relief, dengue control, and health services.

Yogi stressed that women’s safety remains a top priority, directing all districts to strengthen the activities of Anti-Romeo Squads. He also released fresh rankings of complaint redressal across administrative and police levels, warning of strict action against officials found submitting false or misleading reports.
Ahead of upcoming festivals including Barawafat, Anant Chaturdashi, and Vishwakarma Puja, the CM instructed police and administrative units to maintain heightened vigilance. In the flood and heavy rainfall situation, he ordered more effective relief efforts with guidance from local representatives.
He also directed municipal bodies to promptly drain waterlogged areas and improve sanitation to curb seasonal diseases, while ensuring an uninterrupted supply of medicines, especially for snakebite treatment. Expressing concern over counterfeit drugs, he said such activities would not be tolerated and ordered strict enforcement against offenders.
On agriculture, Yogi instructed departments to ensure adequate fertiliser availability for the Kharif season and crack down on hoarding and black marketing.
The CM further reviewed preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission’s Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) scheduled for September 6–7, where over 25.3 lakh candidates will appear across 1,479 centres in 48 districts.
He emphasised the strict confidentiality of question papers, the deployment of sector magistrates, CCTV monitoring, and special arrangements for candidates’ convenience during the rainy season. He also warned that spreading rumours or misinformation about the exam would invite legal action and jail.
