The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a state-level poster campaign titled ‘Every Child is Special’ to promote the inclusion of Divyang (differently-abled) children and children with special needs in mainstream society and raise awareness about their rights.
As part of the initiative, more than 2.65 lakh sets of posters have been distributed across over 1.32 lakh government and aided schools. Each school has received a set of six posters, focusing on themes such as education, participation, safety, and equality for children with special needs.\
The posters, developed in collaboration with UNICEF, are designed not just to inform, but to encourage emotional and practical change in societal attitudes. The campaign aims to ensure that differently-abled children receive education in the same inclusive environment as their peers.
Beyond schools, the posters are also being displayed at Panchayat Bhawans, Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Child Development Centers, and other public places to generate widespread community awareness.

Speaking on the campaign, Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh said, “We are expanding the scope of education to make it more accessible and sensitive for every child. This is more than just a government program—it’s a movement to shift public perception and build an inclusive society.”
The campaign reflects the government's commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunity for every child, regardless of physical or developmental challenges.
