In a tragic incident, a speeding Suzuki Swift fell off the New Ghaziabad Railway Station ROB late on the night of April 1, breaking through the railing on the lane from the Collectorate to the old bus stand on Hapur Road. 

According to police investigation, the car plunged approximately 15 meters near the railway boundary wall, sustaining severe damage. However, no injured individuals were found at the scene.

ACP Kavinagar Swatantra Kumar Singh stated that authorities have not yet determined how many people were in the vehicle or if anyone was injured. The police were alerted to the accident around 1 AM, but upon arrival, they found the car empty. Officers suspect the driver may have jumped out before the vehicle fell.

In a separate incident, a speeding car hit a mother and daughter riding a scooter in Govindpuram on the evening of March 12. The driver, fearing an angry crowd, took both victims to a nearby hospital but later threatened them against filing a police complaint, warning that he would kill them if they did.

Meenu, a resident of Akash Nagar, was heading to Vishal Mega Mart in Gaur Homes with her mother, Nirmala Devi, when the accident occurred. The impact caused them to fall, leaving Nirmala Devi unconscious. The driver admitted them to Shivalik Hospital but later fled after issuing threats.

Following Meenu’s complaint, the police registered a case against the accused driver at Kavi Nagar police station based on the vehicle number. Nirmala Devi is currently receiving treatment at Sarvodaya Hospital in Kavi Nagar, where her condition remains critical.
