The Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC) has begun preparations to beautify the city ahead of Diwali. Efforts are underway to enhance green belts, central verges, and parks across the city.
The Horticulture Department is actively pruning roadside trees, cleaning parks, and planting saplings along key stretches. Saplings have been planted on both sides of the green belt in front of the Collectorate and Police Line. The green belt from Vivekananda Nagar Sihani to the Sanjay Nagar flyover is being beautified, while saplings are also being planted on the central verge of Vaishali Ramprastha Road.
The central verge from Pushpanjali Hospital in Vaishali Sector 1 to Vaishali Sector 16, and from Nandi Park to GT Road, is undergoing landscaping. Similarly, the green belt from the Gurdwara in Vaishali Sector 1 to the culvert in Sector 2 has been enhanced.
Saplings are planned for all major intersections and along central verges from Airport Road to the Delhi border and Nag Dwar, as well as from Vasundhara Sector 2B to Gardenia Society in Sector 18.

Dr Anuj, Horticulture In-Charge, stated that a dedicated team of gardeners and supervisors regularly maintains parks, green belts, and central verges. Various plant species and carpet grass will be laid across major roads and intersections in all zones of the city, ensuring a vibrant and festive look for Diwali
