A serious road accident occurred on the Ghaziabad elevated road on Thursday morning, leaving a car driver seriously injured. The incident took place around 11:00 am near the Rotary roundabout.
The Incident
A municipal corporation water tanker was stationary at the side of the road when a speeding car rammed into it from behind. The impact of the collision was so severe that the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car reportedly overturned several times before landing upside down on the road.
Rescue And Treatment
Witnesses and local people present at the scene immediately rushed to help. They pulled the injured driver out of the mangled vehicle and transported them to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment for serious injuries.

Police Action And Investigation
Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene to manage the situation. A crane was deployed to remove the overturned car from the carriageway.
While the tanker was parked on the side of the road, police officials noted that the accident might have been precipitated by the tanker being parked in an unsafe position.
Traffic Disruption
The accident caused a temporary disruption to traffic flow, leading to a jam on the elevated road. The police eventually cleared the obstruction, and the matter is currently under investigation.
