Development proposals worth Rs 45 crore for the financial year 2025-26 were approved under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) scheme on Monday. The proposals were passed during a district-level committee meeting chaired by the District Magistrate.
District Minority Welfare Officer Sahitya Nikash Singh first provided information on previously completed projects before presenting the new proposals for 2025-26.
Approved Projects For 2025-26
The committee unanimously approved all proposals, which primarily included:
Health: Construction of a Community Health Centre in the Bhojpur block by the Health Department, at a cost of Rs 12.25 lakh.
Sports: A rural stadium multipurpose hall in the villages of Patla, Baneda Khurd and Ataur Nangla.
- A mini stadium in Masuri village (Rajapur) at a cost of Rs 9.20 crore.
- A mini stadium in Tyaudi village (Bhojpur) at a cost of Rs 4.25 crore.
New Directives And Suggestions
During the meeting, Modinagar MLA Dr Manju Siwach suggested the construction of additional mini stadiums in the villages of Talheta and Kilhauda Raghunathpur.
In response, the District Magistrate instructed the District Youth Welfare Officer to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for these new suggestions within two days.
The District Magistrate also stated that all mini stadiums being built in the district must be equipped with synthetic tracks. This measure is intended to provide a better platform for sporting talent and ensure convenience for athletes.
MP Atul Garg was also present at the meeting.
