In a post on X  (formerly Twitter) he called the platform unfriendly practices and announced he would delist his restaurant from the app, tagging CEO Deepinder Goyal.

About Noida Restaurant Owner

A user named Manish, who runs a restaurant called Saffroma in Noida Sector-26, specializing in biryani, kebabs, and Mughlai cuisine, shared screenshots of transactions to support his claims. He also criticized Zomato’s customer service, stating that his point of contact (POC) stopped responding and ignored his concerns.

"Dear @zomato @deepigoyal I'm finally pulling my restaurant off your platform. Congrats! Your mystery service charges, surprise ad placements (without consent), and a POC who ghosts like it's a talent show-truly inspiring. Small outlets deserve better. Quality > commissions," he wrote.

"Is this how you support small businesses Mr @deepigoyal? 5 months into this business and I'm very clear about one thing...my case is just the tip of the iceberg. There are countless stories of closed/failed businesses who relied solely on online platforms for orders."

Zomato replied to his post and offered to provide a solution. "Hi Manish, that's not what we hoped for! Please DM us your restaurant ID, and our team will be reaching out to you," Zomato said.

In a separate incident, a video showing a Zomato delivery agent executing high-speed, MotoGP-style stunts on a winding hill road has sparked mixed reactions online.

Originally shared by the Instagram account ‘Adrenalinee.Junkies,’ the clip quickly went viral on X after a user reposted it with the caption: “Born to be a rider, forced to be a delivery boy.”

In the video, the delivery rider is seen skillfully leaning into sharp curves and weaving through narrow turns with the finesse of a professional motorcyclist. While some praised the technical brilliance of his maneuvers, others raised alarms over the risks involved.

“This will end in a hospital bed with broken bones,” warned several concerned users.

Though the road appeared mostly empty, critics argued that such reckless riding endangers not only the rider but also the safety of others. Many pointed out that it violates traffic laws and sets a troubling precedent for others in the gig economy, where speed often comes at the cost of safety.
