GIDA Plot Cancellation Alert: Final Notice Issued To 18 Inactive Allottees In Gorakhpur Following CM Yogi’s Orders

The Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) has begun taking strict action against allottees who have not established industries despite being allocated land years ago. After not receiving a satisfactory response to previously issued notices, the GIDA administration has issued a final notice to 18 allottees, summoning them. If they fail to present a satisfactory case within the stipulated time, their allotment will be cancelled.

CM Yogi Adityanath’s Directives On Industrial Progress

During a recent visit to Gorakhpur, while reviewing the progress of industrial units in GIDA, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given clear instructions to take stringent action against those who have not established industries even after taking the land. In compliance with this, the GIDA administration has prepared a list of inactive allottees and initiated action.

This action has also increased the anxiety of more than 100 other allottees with various deficiencies. Action against them is also possible.

Timeline For Final Hearing And Outstanding Dues

The GIDA administration has given the 18 concerned allottees an opportunity to appear and present their case over three working days between February 10 and 13. Officials say that this final opportunity is being given so that no dispute or objection remains after the cancellation of the allotment.

According to information, in the last five to six years, about 50 allottees have been identified who have neither deposited their outstanding dues on time nor shown interest in setting up an industry. They have outstanding dues ranging from Rs 5,000,000 to Rs 50,000,000.

Reallocation For New Industrial Investment

GIDA ACEO Ram Prakash says that by cancelling inactive allotments, the land will be given to new investors, which will accelerate the pace of industrial investment. 18 allottees have been given a final notice and an opportunity to present their case. If the response is not satisfactory, the allotment will be cancelled and a new advertisement will be issued.
